Raelee Hill: “I loved working with Wayne! When I joined the show…because I hadn’t seen any of it and I joined the show and I was working with the Moya crew and I was having a great time there and suddenly this character Scorpius walked into the room and I just went “Hellooo!.” *laughs* He is…well, Wayne is a pretty fascinating guy to begin with. He’s great and I had seen Wayne on Austrailan television for years and years and years and I had seen his face, and then to met him as Scorpius… He’s so unbelieveble theatrical. He’s a wonderful actor to work with, Wayne. He gives you all the time in the world and he makes you feel very comfortbale. He’s… You know…he puts his cards on the table on what he wants to be done in the scene and he just turns to you and you think… He gives you lots of time and it’s really an interactive process that the two of us had and I just loved working with him. He’s great fun. Really laid back, really relaxed with a knockout performence. I hadn’t seen anyhthing like Scorpius before in my life. I thought he was brilliant. And so in the series I was dropping these little hints as we were going along. You know, giving him a look or throwing him a smile or something, when the rest of the crew was so anti anti anti Scorpius and I didn’t quite know why. I was thinking “Well, he’s a genius! Look at him!” He might be a little twisted, and yeah, he’s wearing a leather hood *laughs*, but he’s a genius man and that’s why Sikozu found him a big turn-on. If she finds a mind that she finds fascinating she’ll really go for that mind. And I mean, Scorpius’s mind…what a mind to latch on to. So the writers picked up on that and ran with it and as the result, by the end of the 4th series we were doing alot of work together. And we continued to do work together in the mini-series, and it was great. My scenes with Wayne where my favorite scenes. They get a little…yeah, you talked about the chemistry, it’s a little… I’m not gonna say perverse, it’s not perverse at all. It’s just a little different. It’s a little… We pushed the boundaries a little bit. And if you can’t do it in sci-fi, where can you do it?”
